Bio:
I suppose, I'm the main man of LGDM. I made the websites and produced the podcasts. I'm kind of a mix between captain Kirk and Scotty. In this analogy Jake would be Spock and Brooks would be McCoy. The big media companies would be the Romulans and the Republican party would be the Klingons . Yeah that makes sense.

Anyhow there is little special about me. No college degree or even high school diploma. Nothing so important that you would care.

LawnGnomeDeathMarch Guarantee of Quality

Here at LawnGnomeDeathMarch we believe in quality.
We believe we can create a quality product.
But sometimes just believing you can is not enough.
So if you find yourself disappointed in anyway with our
websites or podcasts, please email us about it.
I'm not sure anyone here will actually care,
but at least your email most likely will be read.

And that my dear reader is the

Fucking Bastards!!!!!

Its been a little while since I check my email. I had over 500 emails. That really did not surprise me. I figured it was mostly SPAM. And it was. Only it was a different kind of SPAM. I had hundreds of notices saying that LawnGnomeDeathMarch.Net had been sending out SPAM. Lots of SPAM. I was totally shocked, and totally pissed. So I did some investigating. There is no problem with our servers or computers. Someone out there is faking our domain name. And there is nothing we can do about it. It is easy to do and impossible for us to stop.

I fucking hate SPAM! But the Spammers are not the only evil ones. The other evil bastards are the motherfuckers who click on the email and give these spammers money. These people are so fucking stupid that they are evil. They are so completely ignorant and clueless, that they have almost totally ruined email.

So you want to be a writer for LGDM?

We are always looking for contributors. So if you are interested in writing for LGDM then here is a little guide for you.

  1. No one gets paid here at LGDM. If you are writing for the site, you are doing it for the fun of it.
  2. Not all submissions will be published on the site. We want to focus on quality. We don't want to be mean, but we care about the readers more than we care about the writers.
  3. Before you write your article, you should contact the editors. Talk with us about you ideas and what you want to do. We would love to work with you to make a killer piece.
  4. This may sound funny coming from me, but please take care of your own grammar and spelling. If it is not already obvious, we are not English teachers.
  5. We are looking for people who want to write articles. They don't have to be long. But what we don't want is quick link posts, like you see in slashdot or most all other blogs. We are not here to recycle links. We are here to create content.

Okay so if you are still interested email the editors at editors@lawngnomedeathmarch.com

A Note To The Editors: Structure of LGDM

The people that make LGDM are structured a bit like a pyramid.

At the tippy tip top is me. I control the technical side of things. It does not have to be me though, but it is.

The next level is the Editors. Jake, Goose, and I are the founding editors of the site. There might be more someday but probably not. The editors have access to the administration side of the sites. They can post and edit articles. The editors write articles, and hopefully they will also evaluate submissions from contributors.

The last level is the contributors. They work with the editors and submit articles. Anyone can be a contributors. Not all contributions will be published.

Deep in the basement are the people who leave comments. Anyone can leave a comment.

A Note To The Editors: How To Post Articles

Okay so you have an article and its ready to post.

If you are posting some else's article for them, make sure you clearly give them credit. You can check out this post as a "good" example.

Before you hit the publish button, think about the labels. The first and most important label is the name of the actual author of the article. If you are an editor and you wrote the article then use your first name. Also include any co-authors of the article. If you are publishing someone else's article for them, you need to use their name not yours.

After that, the labels you use are up to you. Just remember that the labels are used to find similar articles on the site. So its best to use labels that are already being used. You can use as many label as you would like. Start from the general and work down to the specific. For example an article about The Iraq Study Group could have the labels "George W Bush, Iraq War, Iraq Study Group, James Baker" Labels are separated by commas. Don't use the world "The" in the beginning of a label. Please Drop all periods. As is "Iraq Study Group" not "The Iraq Study Group" and "George W Bush" not "George W. Bush" These labels would allow people to find other articles we have written about Bush, Baker, or the Iraq War quite easily.
